Salme is a self-taught artist based in Washington, D.C., working primarily with oil on canvas and other fabrics. Her work is a gentle confrontation, with soft, dreamlike scenes that invite the viewer to reflect on tender emotions.
She completes many of her pieces as a live painter at local music events and community gatherings. The goal of her live painting is to create performance art that invites the energy of a shared space shape into painting as she works.
